With its 4 click hammer and a cylinder that spins with the hammer at half-cock, it is about as close as you can get to an old Colt, unlike the new models with transfer bars. This revolver is blued with a black anodized grip frame. The barrel and cylinder have been replaced, and the barrel sports a 2 Line Warning Address characteristic of barrels made in the 1970’s. Many of us shooters believe the old three screw Rugers are even better than the Colts, offering improved reliability with all coil springs. This revolver is in about Very good condition with about 80% of its metal finish remaining. Its bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion and there is only light wear in the checkering of the grips.
This revolver would be great for that young buckaroo or Buckarette just getting started in Cowboy Action shooting to get a light revolver to start out on which would be a lot easier to learn on than a heavier centerfire revolver. It would also be good for the adults to use for practice, using inexpensive rimfire ammo instead of their ammo.
