I have the HIS R7 250X iCooler 1GB GDDR5 GPU While attempting to overclock, I tried the software HIS gives you(you know, kind of obvious you'd use THEIR software, right?) Wrong. Stock speeds are Core clock: 1000MHz Memory clock: 1100MHz Ok, now. On iTurbo, I got to 1050MHz on the core clock, and 1175MHz on the memory clock before my graphics driver crashed. Now, when using Catalyst Control Center to overclock, I got up to 1090MHz on the core clock, 1250MHz on the memory clock.
Solid 24 hours of stability. Now as for my question. Why would CCC work better at overclocking than the software HIS designed for their hardware? I'd really like to know.

The card itself then, it's quite hard to determine real changes at PCB level over the reference model as the cooler is blocking my view! I can tell you though that HiS is following reference design precisely.

The card sports Dual-Link DVI and I can tell you that we tested them up-to a resolution of 1920x1200 (in dual view, that's 3840x1200) which worked perfectly fine and crispy sharp. Included is the PC game Flat Out, quite a funny game and with some nice graphics. ITurbo - But it's not. IceQ ice baby.

Basically the idea is this: Push a button and your card is overclocked within HiS defined limits. After installing just click on the tray icon to startup iTurbo. Now follow me closely. The X1600 XT runs at default at a clock of 587.250MHz and a memory clock of 693.000MHz (x2). This is the first time I was really disappointed by the iTurbo function as the overclock is only a couple of MHz with the core at 600 and the memory at 702 MHz. HiS might as well have left out this function as it really does not make a difference in performance at all.
